We have just had to ban a member who, over the space of a few hours, kept placing posts on the message board which moderators felt were overly confrontational and unsuitable.
We will lift the ban in a day or two, once calmer heads prevail, but I just wanted to point out that my own email box has 17 alert-priority messages in it while we were trying to figure out how to calm this member. Each of the MP moderators also has processed those 'alert' emails.
I myself am in the process of getting ready to travel to Washington for a presentation to the NIH and just can't afford time to be distracted at the moment. The other moderators similarly did not have the time to spend 'hovering' over the message board waiting for another of the inappropriate messages (there were 9 in all) to pop up.
Please understand that these diseases do strange things to the mind, and exacerbating aggression is one of them. I know that. I have personally lived through it, and am not proud of some of my actions, now that I look back on them dispassionately.
Further, I know how much this aggression can be exacerbated by 'herx.'
But it is very important to understand that this is a 'healing zone' and not a 'flaming zone.' If you feel yourself getting hot under the collar please 'sleep on it,' and if you still feel angry in 24 hours please try to write your complaint in such a way that it is not too confrontational

There was another confrontational post a few hours ago which, IMO, was solely aimed at trying denigrate the MP, draw us to defend it, and thereby waste our precious time.
Please understand that we are here to help folks who want to recover their lives. We are not selling anything, we have no axe to grind. We are all volunteers.
If you want to pick arguments then the correct venue is not here, in the 'healing zone.' You need to discuss your concerns at one of the many medical conferences at which I speak, or put your hypothesis to peer-review, as we have done.
We will no longer box anonymous ghosts. I have laid my own professional reputation on the line, and if you want to challenge that, you will have to do it as a real person, and not hide behind the anonymity of the Internet.
Sincerely

Trevor,
You offer more than just hope for so many people, and have helped me greatly even though you don't know me. You are right to not allow anonymous 'Luddites' to interfere in your mission. Medicine must move on. And you are doing a fine job.
Let them show their true faces, and thus, the courage of their conviction.
Where are the pulmonologists etc who privately refute you to their 'lay person' patients?
I know. They are all silent, startled, hiding behind their desks, none dare publicly face you under the spotlight of your scientific evidence.
If there are any scientists, doctors etc out their reading this message who have a problem with Trevor's work please , please, please, do all your patients justice and have the guts to face him man to man on a professional basis or SHUT UP AND PUT US ALL ON THE MARSHALL PROTOCOL. All we want is to get well. Very few of you are helping to move things along.
All the best Trevor, and thanks again,
Pat.

Hmmm. So that explains why... uh, never mind. Honest officer, I was in another state...
Seriously, I have noticed that in myself and in my lovely bride, though her outbursts are much more infrequent and less severe than mine.
If your S.O. starts to fly off the handle, give him/her some space, love them, hold them if they will let you, and wait for a better day. It will be there, we all know that. Try not to hold a grudge for things said in the heat of a herx.

Hey, Madwolf,
Perhaps I have "sarc rage" ......er.....well..... maybe not. If i had there would be a few dozen dead docs over here in the UK . after 20 years of misdiagnosis.
I know that there are other docs helping Dr Marshall. And they desreve some credit too. They are superbe true scientists. I just buried my fourth uncle due to cardiac and pulmonary sarcoid. My Dad is next on the list and the docs have not got a clue what is wrong. Maybe TB or pneumonia? they are guessing. Then me? Then my daughter? I dont think so!! I am trying my best to get some help. And I will succeed. One way or another.
Again, Thanks Trevor.
