Thanks, Dr. M. for the link to the hormone chart. It tells quite a story.
I was hoping it would have something about triglycerides, as my doc wants to treat me for slightly high elevation, and I know it's from having a Th1 disease, so I don't want any treatment other than the MP...which he calls pseudo-science.
I like him a lot and keep trying to enlighten him. He DOES actually read all the papers I send him but is unmoved. Could it be because he's from South Africa and earned his MD there?
I'm thrilled about the success of the conference. I sent the flyer to the Wall Street Journal, since they have in the past had front page articles on new treatments for CFS.

| Jill, I believe I can help. I mailed you a copy (a scan) of the "hormonal changes 1,25D chart". This should work. If you need a larger version, let me know.

| Jill, most of the new computers have DVD players, so if you upgrade your equipment, you can kill two birds. You'll be amazed how much you can get for your dollar now, lots of computer bargains out there! Of course DVD players can be bought for next to nothing now, so that is still a good option. Jill and others,
Since Barb had shown the hormone link, I clicked on it and brought up the chart. I then proceeded to print in BLACK & WHITE only ... it did NOT copy well.
I recommend copying in color only. What was really interesting was on the lower right hand side of the page, the BACKGROUND design didn't allow the text to be printed at all.
I didn't go back & print in color...color cartridge is empty and I do NOT use color for anything so not buying any more.
Have enjoyed reading all the conference feedback comments.

Hi John,
I do need an upgrade, just need to find a really huge, penny-pinching bargain! Good suggestions, it's amazing how much computers have come down in cost.

Trevor,
It was my understanding that what Dr. Coker-Vann said was how long it takes to see improvement, rather than to get well. She mentioned her having worked with Dr. Brown and her carrying on his work and she said it sometimes took patients as long as 2-5 years "to really see improvement." She said it sometimes depended on how long they had been sick.
That is what I thought was telling was the contrast between the two protocols, and hoped people who heard her comment would realize she was talking about the Brown Protocol and not the MP. I don't think Trevor ever has found someone with sarcoidosis needing to wait 2 years to see improvement--with most people improving at least to some degree within 3-9 months.
It just makes the point of how much faster the MP allows people to progress with its added D avoidance and Benicar. But people can hear her statement themselves later on the DVD.
Trevor said:
<<Also at the conference was Dr Harold Clark, a close colleague of Dr Thomas McPherson Brown, and also Dr Millie Coker-Vann, who ran Dr Brown's lab. Millie reassured people (you will see her on the DVDs) that her experience is that RA patients take 2-5 years to recover (using the Brown protocols), and that there is no point in being impatient...>>
P.S. I edited the above to make it a little more accurate, after double checking what she said.

Joyce,
Thanks for the clarification.
Both the ARB and Vit D control are essential to the improved prognosis with the MP rather than the RoadBack protocol. However, we also do use a better regime of antibiotics (IMO).
This is no reflection on Dr Brown or Dr Clark, as they did not have available the tools or knowledge which I have been using

A belated thank you to Trevor, the moderators, presenters, and the panel members for providing such an enlightening conference. I continue to be encouraged with my amazing progress on the MP during the past 13 months, and enjoyed seeing and hearing the other miracle stories during the weekend. I was especially impressed as the physicians on the protocol shared their personal stories and perspectives.
Wishing all Th1 inflammatory patients who are contemplating to begin or who are already participating in the protocol the inevitable--recovery!
I, too, am interested in purchasing a DVD to share with family and friends. With heartfelt appreciation--Carole

The MP sounds very promising.
I was too exhausted to attend Sunday.
Does anyone know what I missed??
thanks much

Dear Friends,
To build on Carole’s comments, I too was impressed by the number of physicians in attendance at the conference and their enthusiasm for the MP. One of these doctors I know quite well. He is a physician well know to the Road Back community. I sought him out to treat me when I was first diagnosed with RA. He was the only doctor I could find that was a board certified rheumatologist, firmly believed in an infectious etiology for rheumatic diseases and was willing to use antibiotics aggressively and creatively. I was his patient for 5 years, traveling across country to see him several times a year.
We had the opportunity to talk twice at some length during the conference. He was very interested to hear that I was on the MP and asked me detailed questions about my experiences. He tacitly acknowledged that he was eager to help his other patients who, like me, had failed to achieve remission of their diseases even after years of treatment with antibiotics. I was very happy to see him at the conference since I know he is a brave and caring physician who genuinely wants to help his patients get well.

Hi all, Dani here again, just checking in and reading up on all I have been missing...which looks like quite a lot. One can't miss much on things around here, they move fast for sure!!
Just wanted to say thanks again for all the information at this conference and am looking forward to ordering the DVD's (I am heading over to the section next.)
Hope all of you are well and doing good. Though I don't post often, I am watching the topics I have marked and read them when they come in.
Again, thanks for having me!
Dani
