Should I get the flu shot?
Intramuscular (IM) medications, treatments or vaccines such as the flu shot may contribute to chronic disease because the filters that are used when making them aren’t small enough to block Cell Wall Deficient bacteria. These bacteria are so tiny they go through all the filters used to purify vaccines (the Wirostko photos showed the intra-cellular bacteria at about 0.015 microns diameter and 0.2 micron filters are used in vaccine manufacturing). Dr Garth Nicholson tested vaccines used in the first gulf war and found they had mycoplasma contamination. Therefore, you run the risk of adding to your bacterial load by getting vaccinations.
"No vaccine is 100% safe! Vaccines can easily become contaminated with viruses, bacteria and mycoplasma. During the flu season in 2004 almost half of that year's flu vaccine supply was withdrawn from the market due to bacterial contamination. During the mandatory polio vaccine programs in the 1950s, half the U.S. population was infected with a cancer-causing monkey virus (simian virus 40) that accidentally contaminated the polio vaccine.
During the "swine flu" scare of February 1976, millions of Americans were urged to take a vaccine against it. The swine flu pandemic never happened, but the extensive vaccine program was halted in January 1977 after 500 cases of Guillain-Barre sydrome, a serious polio-like syndrome, occurred in vaccine recipients. There were 25 deaths from the syndrome and the federal government had to eventually pay out $90 million dollars in damages from the lawsuits." Alan Cantwell, MD
However, for some people getting the flu shot or pneumovax is important to attempt to prevent acute infections. These folks are better off risking the addition of more slow-growing CWD bacteria than the risk of fighting an acute infection.
The decision whether or not to get the flu shot or pneumovax is a matter of weighing the risks versus the benefits. Flu shots are most useful to folk with compromized immune systems.
Ask yourself some key questions:
- Is your respiratory function severely compromised?
- Are you in such a debilitated condition that if you got the flu or pneumonia you might not survive?
- Is your risk of exposure to germs excessive?
- Do you want to take the chance of making your Th1 inflammation worse by possibly acquiring a new batch of pleomorphic bacteria that are so small they slipped through the vaccine filters?
Talk with your doctor about your risk/benefit ratio regarding the flu shot or pneumovax. We believe the benefits of the flu shot and pneumovax do not outweigh the risk for most patients with chronic inflammatory disease but you should consider these vaccinations if you are in a high risk category.
Treatment and prevention of flu with antivirals
Tamiflu
Tamiflu is a pill which interferes with the flu viral reproduction. You need to begin taking it within 40 hours of catching the flu or it may not work.
"Concerns that the influenza drug Tamiflu -- seen as effective against a possible pandemic triggered by bird flu -- may induce fatal side effects are growing in Japan after two people who took it fell to their deaths last month. The deaths, the latest cases of abnormal behavior by those who took Tamiflu, prompted the Health Ministry to issue a warning last week that influenza patients could show psychiatric problems, although it has denied the drug was responsible for them."
Tamiflu side effect concerns grow after Japan deaths
Relenza
Relenza is a powder that is inhaled twice a day for five days from a breath-activated plastic device called a Diskhaler for treatment of influenza. It is used for prevention and treatment and patients needed to start treatment within two days of the onset of symptoms.
The safety of Tamiflu and Relenza has recently been called into question.
The decision to use either of their products should be considered carefully based on their know side effects, contraindications and personal risk of dying from the flu.
Aug08 "I don't think I understand the significance of vaccines at this point. The ones using live microbes, like BCG, are clearly going to contribute to the pathogenic load, but it is not possible to generalize about the effect of the others on the immune system.
If I had to make an educated hypothesis, it would be along the lines that if you give vaccines to people who are already sick it is going to place a heavy load upon their immune system, and potentially make them sicker. However, the real problem is the increasing percentage of the population who have heavily compromised immune systems so early in life." ..Trevor..

Vaccinations
Vaccinations are controversial
The vaccine controversy is an issue you may want to investigate because there are many arguments against and critics of vaccinations in general.
The disadvantages of vaccinations is discussed on this thread. I found the video on this site to be most interesting (note also at the 53 min mark, diseases linked to particular vaccines). While the MP may be the cure, perhaps vaccinations are the leading cause of our infections. ~Claire
MCV4 vaccine
The question of whether or not to vaccinate your child with MCV4 should be centered on the risk/benefit ratio. The risk of acquiring CWD bacteria (unknown) along with the side effects of the vaccine vs. the benefit of preventing a lifethreatening acute illness (meningococcus) and her degree of risk for this disease (higher for kids living in college dorms). MCV4 is not recommended for persons who are moderately or severely ill so that is another question to answer.
HPV vacccine
Human papiloma virus (HPV) vaccine is controversial for several reasons. Since HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, you may want to provide your daughter with all the information pro and con and let her make up her own mind as to whether she gets it and when.
Side effects of Gardasil already include several post-vaccination cases of Guillain-Barre syndrome, as reported and posted on the National Vaccine Information Center website.

TB tests
The Tuberculin tine test is the most frequent test administered to screen for tuberculosis.
As with all injected substances, there is a small risk of introducing CWD bacteria because the filter used for the antigen isn't small enough to exclude these tiny bacteria. Since these bacteria grow slowly and you are on the MP, this isn't a huge concern.
If you would like to avoid this test, check with your employer to see what their exclusion policy is. If you feel strongly about refusing the test, your main argument (because you have sarcoidosis) would be cutaneous anergy and the fact that your test is likely to be negative in any case. But then you may be asked to submit to a chest xray in lieu of the skin test and be subjected to more xrays.
I'm not aware of any circumstances where the test requirement would be waived and have no expectation they would consider CWD bacteria a reason to refuse it vs the potential of screening for active TB.
I wrestled with the decision and decided I couldn't say no to this test and continue working in health care. My choice was to take the easy route and have the tine test. I was fascinated to see that rather than the slightly pink, expected normal reaction at the injection site that I saw many years ago, there was absolutely no evidence of reaction (cutaneous anergy). ~Meg

Tattoos
We are exposed daily to the intracellular microbiota that cause chronic, degenerative diseases. They exist in food, water, injectable medications, body fluids and have even been cultured from dry soil. Please see Cell Wall Deficient Bacteria and the Marshall Protocol
As with all injected substances, there is a small risk of introducing these pathogens during the process of tattooing.
