Tuesday November 1st  5.50am cycle 10 of PHASE 2 /  level .5 / Day 7 /  mino > 25mg Q6H /  Benicar 20mg Q2-3H & 40mg Q4 to 6H night (need wakes me) / MT / Quercetin TID / PBX BID/

Slept well.
Head symptoms: head soreness still present. transient pain at the back of skull
. The symptoms seem a little less so far today, I guess as it is day 7. It feels today like I have a cap on my head. This has been / is very difficult. very wearing and tiring physically and emotionally. I am astonished at the whole thing. and probably because of where denial has had me.

Any delay in any of the frequent meds schedule increases head symptoms.

face and hands oily

face and scalp itchy
left foot arch ache, eyes blur. coughing when meds are due. tired.
Drawing sensation where seated, continues. pulsing in body.

subcutaneous ouch all over.
transient deep pain in upper arms. hands numb when sleeping.
chlorine BO.
Taking all meds frequently as above and making sure I am fed and rest keeps all bearable to
trudging along.

Tuesday November 1st  Australian Culture:

The first Tuesday in November they run the Melbourne Cup.

Melbourne Cup Day is Australia's most famous Tuesday. It's a day when the nation stops whatever it's doing to listen to the race call, or watch the race on TV, and even those who don't usually bet, try their luck.

At 3.00pm AEST, on the first Tuesday in November, Australians everywhere stop for one of the world's most famous horse races - the Melbourne Cup

Hello Barb, I was just wondering why you take mino everyday? I thought we are meant to skip a day between doses?

Best wishes,

Flis.

The aim or the key is to achieve and maintain tolerable Herxing (physically, mentally, and emotionally) by adjustment of meds dosing and schedule combined with the Essential aspects of diligently avoiding Light and vitamin D..

I adjust my medications as necessary to achieve tolerable herxing symptom resolution..

Flis,

It sounds like you've been on the MP awhile but are new to MP.com. You might find the following FAQ helpful:

My Herxheimer reaction is too strong. What should I do?

Best,

Meg

P.S. When you have a minute, please add the required signature line. Thank you.

Oh I see. I read that post by Meg as well and now I understand. I'll also update my signature when I get a chance.

Does that mean if the herx is too strong for me to adopt a qod dosing mino, it is okay to proceed with a different dosing schedule?

Thanks Barb and Meg.

flis,

In order to make any suggestions about your situation, we would need to have the information required in your signature line.

As always, your doctor is your best guide as to how to take your minocycline.

Best,

Meg

The FAQ My Herxheimer reaction is too strong. What should I do? has good explanations re the precautions and the options..

You may wish to begin your own Progress Report, so that any specific concerns you have may be addressed there..

thanks, Barb ....

Friday November 4th  9.05pm cycle 11 of PHASE 2 / cycle 1 level 1 / Day 2 /  mino > 50mg BID today  /  Benicar 20mg Q2-3H & 40mg Q4 to 6H night (need wakes me) / MT / Quercetin TID / PBX BID/

If there is a sad herx there must also be a happy herx.. >  this morning.. with no company.  haha..
Tired by evening as is usual.
Head symptoms: top right quadrant of skull and some at base of skull remains sore particularly when meds are due.
coughing clearing throat at times.
face and hands oily
face and scalp itchy

eyes very blurry, sticky all day, blink blink to see, itchy.
Drawing sensation where seated, continues. pulsing in body.

subcutaneous ouch all over. swollen feet ankles.
hands numb when sleeping.
chlorine BO may be less?
I can feel the full body herx effect when I get up on my feet.
taking care, resting.

I find it difficult to draw the line on how much herx is enough.. but not wanting to push the sore head and etc .. I decide on the dosing moment by moment as I take all my meds and assess if I need something more yet to achieve tolerable.

I write the symptoms so that perhaps others may also be able to recognise them in themselves..

I note here that I have experienced mental and emotional herxing and healing from MP.

The herx has lightened off in some ways but not enough to extend the Q6H mino dosing and the Benicar can be Q2-3H for the most comfort.

Gut herx and full body herxing. eyes sticky, blinking to see.
I wake aching all over. am all swollen bloated inflexible. subcutaneous ouch..
