Hi Barney,
You've been on my mind since we last talked. And now you're a married lady. Wonderful! Ben sounds like a special guy.
I've been wondering if you actually started the protocol over again---and how it was going---so I'm glad to read that it's going just fine and you're still killing a few bugs. In fact, it sounds like your life is just great.
I'm wondering if you're the first to begin the protocol all over again. I hope you'll let us know once in a while how you're doing. Take care.
Jan

Karon,
The month long honeymoon started 9/12/08 and started in Odessa, Tx watching my daughter remarry her husband of 28 yrs (he is dying of diabetes, doing dyalasis right now)....spent 3 days....Hurricane Ike ruined the rest of it...plus was in toooooooooooo much sunlight and got so tired...we came back home. It took me 5 naps in rest areas to make it back home 380 miles (I do all the driving, Ben does not like to drive). Spent 2 days in bed trying to recooperate...the sun still gets me HARD.
Stress has been real bad during this time too and it has taken a big toll on my health especially strength and stamina (my dad passed away 9/8/08). If you remember I went to Ohio a lot while on MP and took care of him. I did not attend his funeral, due to 1800 miles to travel there and the stress and crying that would have taken place if I had gone....I wanted to remember him the way he was when I took care of him...that was my release.
Hang in there, we will make it!!!!! Barney

DAY 1408, 11/18/08, BENICAR ONLY 20MG @ 3 HRS, 40MG @ MIDNIGHT, EXTRA BENICAR PRN AS PER SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE
Sunlight exposure has been quite extensive in the last 2 weeks (lots of 200 mile trips to VA for Ben's health care).
I am doing quite well even with the exposure....worst problem is I get really tired and just sit down in the recliner and go sound asleep as soon as we get home. Other than that, I am not having much IP's...except some dry eyes.
I had restarted the MP all over again back in September (2008). I made it all the way back up to 100mgs Mina....but...I got to the point I could barely walk due to all the bacteria I still have in my hips and legs...so I decided to go back to Benicar only and let my own immune system help instead of the antibiotics. It may be a slower cure but I am not having to take pain meds as heavily....and enjoying my new marriage more.
If I am out in the sunlight, I take a whole Benicar and it seems to takes care of almost anything that comes up including headaches, upset stomach, numerous aches and pains. Not using hardly any pain meds and feeling much better.
I still love the MP as much as I did in the beginning. This January will be 4 yrs and I am very satisfied with my progress.
I had to go to Military insurance (Tricare for Life) and was a little concerned about being able to get my Benicar but all is well and I am getting my regular scrip of 120 tabs with no problems....the only difference is that it was $5.60/monthly on prescription D and now it is going to be $22/monthly but that sure beats $400. I will be getting my Benicar thru Express Scripts now....they are fine with the quanitity.
HANG IN THERE, WE WILL MAKE IT!!!! BARNEY
