Word programs are now designed to insert code that can be used on the Web to alter font read out. Sometimes that is not so helpful as you may have discovered. Your Word settings will translate directly into your posts if you copy/paste directly from Word to this forum.
If you still want to improve your content with word editing tools (spell and grammar check) but don't want the formatting to get carried over, then just write in your Word doc. BUT when you are satisfied with content, then..
1-Copy/paste into NotePad (a very early text tool that drops formatting)
2-Then copy again from NotePad and drop into your posts.
That is a 2-step copy/paste jump, but it will keep the spelling and grammar while clean the formatting, bolding and color changes out of the code. It will also drop out tabs or columns, so avoid creating content with these initially.
You can find Notepad in start/All Programs/Accessories if you are using a Windows machine.
